THE CORE RULES OF NETIQUETTE

The Core Rules of Netiquette are excerpted from the book Netiquette by Virginia Shea. Netizen must abide by the NETIQUETTE.


Rule 1: Remember the Human
(인간임을 기억하라)

Rule 2: Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life
(실제생활에서 적용된 것처럼 똑같은 기준과 행동을 고수하라)

Rule 3: Know where you are in cyberspace
(현재 자신이 어떤 곳에 접속해 있는지 알고 있어라)

Rule 4: Respect other people's time and bandwidth
(다른 사람의 시간을 존중하라) 

Rule 5: Make yourself look good online
(온라인 상의 당신 자신을 근사하게 만들어라)

Rule 6: Share expert knowledge
(전문적인 지식을 공유하라)

Rule 7: Help keep flame wars under control
(논쟁은 절제된 감정 아래 행하라)

Rule 8: Respect other people's privacy
(다른 사람의 사생활을 존중하라)

Rule 9: Don't abuse your power
(당신의 권력을 남용하지 말라)

Rule 10: Be forgiving of other people's mistakes
(다른 사람의 실수를 용서하라)
